What is gleason skoru?

Gleason score is a system used to grade the severity of prostate cancer based on the appearance of prostate tissue during biopsy. The score ranges from 6 to 10, with 6 being the lowest (least aggressive) and 10 being the highest (most aggressive) grade. The score is based on two numbers representing the predominant and secondary patterns of cancer cells seen under a microscope. This score is used by doctors to help determine the appropriate treatment plan for someone with prostate cancer. A higher score indicates a more aggressive cancer and may require more aggressive treatment.
